A Message From Tiffany And Chloe
Posted on 2 February 2010 | 4 responses
The following is a message from Tiffany to all of the TACP community and people that lent a hand during this time of need.
“Perhaps you sent a lovely card, or sat upon a chair
Perhaps you sent us beautiful flowers, if so we saw them there.
Perhaps you gave a gift to Chloe, to help with all her care
Grateful for the thought of knowing you cared so much and your willingness to share.
Perhaps you spoke the kindest words that any friend could say
Perhaps you were not there at all, just thought of us that day.
Whatever you did to console our hearts, we thank you very much.”
-Tiffany Smith 2 Feb, 2010-
The generosity and kindness that everyone has shown to us has left me speechless. Thank you seems so inadequate for the time, effort, gifts, and words that everyone has given. Please know that we are so thankful from the bottom of our hearts. Chloe lost her Daddy but has gained so many new Aunts and Uncles. I hope that no one will have to go through this and hope for the safety of all those who enter the battle over seas.
May you fight with all you have, but not have to give your all. Brad would have been blown away by the support from his fellow TACP’s, Friends, Family, Airman and complete strangers. I will never forget the support we have received. While nothing can bring Brad back home to us, you all have helped me keep waking up every morning hopeful that my future will become bright once more.
I have cried on many of your shoulders, laughed with you at the memories of Brad, and depended on you to be strong for me and for Chloe, and for that I am forever grateful. My life seems to be in pieces right now but you all have helped me to start to put them back together… one by one. I have a long road ahead of me but with all of you as a part of my new family I know I will eventually be able to breathe again.
The Loss of SrA Bradley Smith
Posted on 22 January 2010 | 1 response
As you may have heard SrA Bradley Smith was Killed in Action on 3 Jan 2010, and his ROMAD, Mike Malarsie, was severely wounded . The loss of Brad really gave light to how close the TACP career-field is with one another. In merely 2 weeks active, retired, family and friends of TACPs and ALOs, came together to raise over $21,000 for the families of Brad and Mike. This money helped these families with any immediate needs they may have had as well as got close family and friends to their side during this hard time. The Smith family, Malarsie family, and TACP Association and Career-field truely thank everyone that made a contribution to this fundraiser.
We are working hard on getting more and more photos and media up of Brad and his service, so keep checking back for updates. Here are some of the latest articles and coverage on the event.
